Quickly earning the reputation for being the most important Wednesday night for the masses to seriously get-down, this weekly basement party, hosted in the Nachtcafe (the newly gentrified Wirr Untergrund), is where creatives, workplace warriors and dancers of the city from all walks of life, come to play. The crowd is a beautiful representation of New York City soul and Vienna home-grown urban style. Expect a liberal use of Hip Hop, Chicago / NY house music, soul classics, disco and just about anything with a serious beat and beyond, with a selection of very special guest DJs on a weekly and monthly basis - this recently renovated basement space, with a new music program and sound engineered accordingly, makes this budding Wednesday night gathering, perhaps one of the city's best kept secrets.
Additionally we will show1 or 2 Blaxploitation movies every Wednesday.
The Nachtcafe program will feature Dr.Gre, Groovekracker, Zuzee (Waxos), Dan B. and VIE's own Brooklyn expat DJ / radio host Joe-Joe (Digital Konfusion Mixshow, FM4) as residents spinning a very "fierce" New York set of everything from Hip Hop to Funk to Breakbeats and house classics that should leave you walking away with a smile and "gagging" for more. Keep your eye out on this one, cause this weekly event could soon be the illest party in VIE - period.

Am Mittwoch, den 16.05. bei der Premiere (am nächsten Tag ist praktischerweise Krankenstand aka Feiertag) wird mit HARRIS aka DJ BINICHNICH ein absoluter Party-Garant als Headliner aufgeboten:
Auch bekannt als HARRIS, der 1996 die "Spezializtz" gründete und es gemeinsam mit SIDO unter dem Namen "Deine Lieblingsrapper" auf Platz 2 der deutschen Album-Charts schaffte, gibt sich DJ BINICHNICH in ausgewählten Clubs an den Plattentellern die Ehre. Tel -Aviv, Paris, Prag, New York, London und nicht zu vergessen die Playboymansion des legendären Hugh Heffners in L.A. - das sind nur einige der Parties, die HARRIS als DJ BINICHNICH erfolgreich zum Kochen gebracht hat - und am 16.05. macht er endlich im Wiener CAMERA CLUB Station.
Local Support am Main Floor kommt von den DEF KINGS Vienna, namely DJ RAISOR & DJ LEXSTRADAMUS.

Parov Stelar Superstar! Die Vorfreude könnte nicht größer sein. Wir haben seine Tour DJs am Start. An den Turntables Alexander Ryba und Pat Poree, beide verzaubern von Athen bis Santiago de Chile bei Parov Stelar Konzerten mit feinstem Electro Swing, so auch bei unserem Feiertagsspecial im Mai. Instrumentale Unterstützung kommt dabei von Cab Canavaral mit einer Live Sax Session + DJ-Support von Resident Amblio. Im Cafe alles was das Herz begehrt: von HipHop Classics mit Pezo Fox, Deep Disco mit Roman Rauch bis hin zu Future Beats im Dubstep Mäntelchen bei Majestic Mood.

ALEXANDER RYBA:
The empty space between the crowd and stage craves to be filled with beats and bass lines. Electro-tinged Balkan, swing and minimal tracks achieve this as they masterfully melt together to form the perfect set. International acts such as the Turntable rockers, Carl Craig and currently the Parov Stelar Band have been taking advantage of his extensive experience and knowledge, and he has been touring through Europe with the Parov Stelar Band since the Coco tour.
Alex Ryba has also received glowing reviews for his solo DJ gigs which never fail to entertain, thanks to their perfect “swingingelectro and Balkan-techno-house” mixture. Alex Ryba is a sure fire guarantee for „be smart “swinging sets, Balkan sounds and the honourable mission of making „moving asses & happy faces!“
PAT POREE:
A few beats from Pat Poree’s infectiously good sounds was all it took to impress not only the watching crowd, but the entire etage noir family. On the back of this display it came as no great surprise when Parov Stelar decided to include Pat Poree in the Parov Stelar band’s spring and summer tour of 2011.
His mixture of electro-swing, house and break beats was able to impress thousands of fans over the course of the tour and he has once again been booked as tour DJ for the 2012 Parov Stelar and tour. Pat Poree’s extensive musical spectrum embodies the freshness of modern club and festival culture. Since 2011, Pat Poree has been bringing his unique beats to stages across the whole of Europe. |
