ILL BILL (La Coka Nostra | ExNon Phixion | US)
Er ist eine New Yorker Untergrundlegende. Und das nicht erst seit Zusammenarbeiten mit B-REAL (Cypress Hill), RAEKWON (Wu-Tang) oder JEDI MIND TRICKS. Schon als Teil des New Yorker Urgesteins NON PHIXION konnte er mit seinen sozialkritischen Texten und seiner aggressiven Stimme auf Hip Hop-Hymnen wie „Black Helicopters“, „Rockstars“ oder „Drug Music“ für Furore sorgen. Seit einiger Zeit ist Bill (Bruder vom nicht weniger bekannten Necro) Teil der Formation „LA COKA NOSTRA“, bei der unter Anderem auch weltbekannte Namen wie EVERLAST (Ex House of Pain) oder DJ LETHAL (Ex House of Pain / aktueller Limp Bizkit Produzent), ihre Finger im Spiel haben. Am 16.September letzten Jahres schlug ILL BILLs Stunde der Vergeltung. Mit seinem zweiten Album, „The Hour of Reprisal“ zeigt er uns zum wiederholten Male, wer in NYC die Hosen an hat.

ABOUT DJ DRM:
Brooklyns DJ DRM (aka Aaron Schultz) has traveled the world over DJing his own brand of eclectic party rockers, jazzy beats, disco floor shakers, classic dancehall, midtempo beats, downtempo and dubbed out broken sounds.
As co-founder and label manager of Brooklyns Bastard Jazz Recordings, Aaron has been the driving force behind an a DJ's label thats become known for its tasteful, dancefloor style that consistently straddles the line between down and up-tempo beats, but yet remains eclectic, drawing heavily from the tide pools of dub, jazz, hip-hop, and latin music. As 2009 looms heavy, Bastard Jazz remains a viable force record shops world-wide, and a mainstay in the crate of thousands of DJs worldwide.

ABOUT KID GUSTO:
KidGusto's career in music started in 1986 when he experimented with his first musical instrument, the trumpet. After three years of study, KidGusto took an active interest in percussive instruments, and initially explored the drum kit. He has continued to engage every avenue of rhythm and melody since it first captivated his senses. His love affair with all things musical has struck an insatiable desire to throw himself into various instruments, recording consoles, audio programs, collaborative works and most importantly, performance. KG has the ability and musical prowess to ascertain the complexities of international rhythms as well as the techniques utilized to rock a dance floor. His thirst to fully comprehend and translate the expansive universe of music yields a plethora of unique and distinctive stylings.
KidGusto has performed in numerous musical outfits; from punk rock bands to jazz ensembles; from participant laden world music groups to funk tribute troupes. He is charged with an uncommon versatility that can be heard in his performance driven music as well as his original productions. In addition to the various performing side projects, he is a renowned US and abroad traveled DJ and Producer, most notably in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. His talents both inside and outside the studio have earned him recognition from the likes of Eighteenth Street Lounge, Thievery Corporation, All Good Funk Alliance, Rhythm & Culture Recordings, Desmond Williams, Mustafa Akbar and Fort Knox Recordings. KidGusto has produced exclusive tracks for record labels such as Rhythm & Culture Recordings, Funk Weapons, Citrona Records, Bastard Jazz records in Brooklyn, as well as the musical score to the community outreach documentary, First Person directed by Ben Herold.
KidGusto embodies the current breadth of DC and illustrates it through the gritty sounds of funk, acid jazz, rare groove and sultry world beats. He continues to derive renewed inspiration from his engagement in the local music culture, as well as those abroad.
